"Training with Jenifer has played a pivotal part in helping me achieve my fitness and long-distance racing goals. When I began working with her in the summer of 2010, I was struggling with balancing a 35 – 40 mile per week half-marathon training plan that often left me with IT-band soreness and knee pain. I was also struggling with a diet that didn't fuel me properly for optimal training and race performance. Since beginning a weekly cross-training program with Jenifer and following her nutrition guidelines, I sustained a 45 – 55 mile per week regimen that resulted in a half-marathon PR of 1:34 and qualifying for Boston in my first ever marathon with a 3:20.

"I signed up for training, never having worked out in a gym in my life. (Let's just say I'm on the downward side of my fifties.) I had a very weak and painful shoulder, which the doctors think may have been compromised by nerve damage with radiation treatments for breast cancer. I was 50 lbs overweight, and just not in very good shape. Something had clicked with me and I decided it was time for me to do something about it. I'd always been a good walker, and had taken various aerobic classes, but didn'thave a clue about weight training. That's when I started personal training. I can'tfind adequate words to tell you how good I feel and how happy I am to have found Jen! She is encouraging, funny, calm, and supportive and yet pushes me hard so I keep improving and get stronger. I feel better than I have in years.
